Bicycle Film Festival
is returning to Ann Arbor at the Michigan Theater. Hosted by Bicycle Alliance of Washtenaw.
This year, BFF Ann Arbor presents an international short film program with award-winning and emerging new talent. For lovers of pro cycling, gravel biking, mountain biking, youth culture, and more - this program will take you on a journey with passionate cyclists around the world.
BFF Ann Arbor features stories about:
Olympian and queer cyclist, Lea Davison proves that you don’t have to choose between who you love and the sport you love
A group of actors tour an original play by bicycle
The story of 17-year-old Nigel James, a Diné mountain biker who hosts the first ever Enduro race in the Navajo Nation, and honors their land, community, and culture through revitalizing trails
A man finds his stolen bicycle and it now belongs to a stranger (Oscar Nomination)
A bicycle takeover and one of the United State's largest, most anticipated street riding events on the bikelife calendar attracting riders from the wheeling
Founded in New York, BFF has been celebrating bicycles through art, film and music the last 24 years. The physical BFF spanned the world in up to 100 cities to an audience of over one million people. The festival has an incredible history of working with the most important artists, filmmakers, venues, and institutions around the world. The international locales included Paris, London, Tokyo, Shanghai, Mexico City, Cape Town and Istanbul and more at some of the most important venues such as Sydney Opera House and the Barbican or an old factory in Zurich.
