In late-1970s New York, fading Broadway star Madeline Ashton (Meryl Streep) steals plastic surgeon Dr. Ernest Menville (Bruce Willis) from her quiet, insecure best friend, Helen Sharp (Goldie Hawn). Years later, a bitter, ruined Helen makes a shocking public comeback—looking unnaturally young, flawless, and out for blood. Desperate to outshine her rival, Madeline seeks out an enigmatic socialite who offers a costly elixir promising eternal youth and effortless immortality. But as a series of deadly betrayals unfold, both women discover the horrifying catch behind living forever, dragging Ernest into a beauty-obsessed nightmare where looks truly are to die for.
